Namrta has three beautiful children that are the light of her life. She is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. After working in the corporate world for several years, she and her husband became Peace Corps volunteers and lived in Honduras for two years. During her time in Honduras, Namrta trained and advised women’s groups in rural villages as they developed small businesses to support their families.

Namrta is very active in the Chester community and volunteers in a variety of community organizations in Chester. She currently serves as the:
1) Treasurer for the Chester/Mendham Food Pantry
2) Photographer for the Front Steps Project that raises money to help local organizations and people during the pandemic
3) Volunteer at “The Friends of Chester Library”.
Previous positions she has held have been President of the Educational Foundation of the Chester, Service Unit Manager for the Chester Girl Scouts, and Chair of the PTO Cultural Arts Committee.
