Valerie Harman is the proud owner and director of the Art of Dance. The studio has always been a large part of her life, as her mother Florence Lambros founded the business herself over 50 years ago. Valerie is incredibly passionate about sharing her love for dance with others. This shines in her commitment and dedication to the studio and its students! She and her husband Chuck are honored to play such integral roles in the Art of Dance community and family.

Valerie began dancing at the age of 4 and continued on to train with some of the best teachers in New York City as she grew up. After attending Radford College as a dance major, Valerie realized that her primary passion is for performing and teaching. She believes that education is a lifelong process and continues to train and study today to keep up with the latest styles and trends in dance. Her award winning choreography has been showcased in professional venues in locations such as New York City, Los Angeles, and London. Valerie is recognized by her peers as an outstanding dance educator and is highly regarded in the professional dance community. She has been featured in publications such as Dance Teacher and Dance Spirit Magazine.
